The Old Spanish Treasure Cave is nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas in what is known as Treasure Hollow. Treasure Hollow was named after the Old Spanish Treasure Cave when a group of Spanish Conquistadors hid their treasures deep within the cavern. Massive attempts have been made looking for the hidden treasure starting back in the late 1800's. The treasure has never been found and remains a mystery as the hunt continues.
During your one hour guided tour through the cavern you will learn about how the treasure got here, evidence that has been found and what we are doing today to find this treasure.
You will see an unique cavern filled with rooms and passages. The Old Spanish Treasure Cavern is known as a maze cavern that has passageways and rooms leading everywhere. You will see a variety of formations and if your lucky you might be able to see one of the many types of cave animals like bats or salamanders during your visit. On your tour you will go back into the mountain about 1/3 of a mile. The cavern is a comfortable 58 degrees all year around. This is a fun cavern to visit all year around.
This is a natural cavern that has been left in it's natural state so you can experience a beautiful and wonderful cavern.
